    <dcterms:description><![CDATA[Originally built in 1909 as a packet stern-wheeler, and later converted into the triple decker excursion steamboat shown in this image, the &quot;G. W. Hill&quot; is docked at the Mississippi River landing at Dubuque, Iowa. Members of the crew can be seen working on the deck and ramp. A truck is parked on the sand near the loading ramp. The truck driver may be seen sitting in the cab of the truck. Two oil drums and several wooden crates are stacked between the rear of the truck and the loading ramp. The photographer has identified the building as the Illinois Central Depot. A covered platform is visible between the building and the railroad tracks. A baggage cart may be seen near the building. Two metal milk cans are on the cart. The building was demolished in the late 1940&#039;s.     <dcterms:description><![CDATA[A woman and man are seated on the side of a partially submerged steam engine that has tipped over into waters of the Mississippi that have covered tracks near the Dubuque water front.  Another woman is standing on the tracks. The engine overturned on April 14, 1916 due to high water that eroded the track bed. Five crewmen escaped injury by jumping off the locomotive.
