Together with buildings shown in images LO 084 and LO 085, construction for the chapel and tower buildings began in 1914. The complex, which also included classroom and living spaces, was dedicated in 1916. The tower building was specifically modeled after the famous Wartburg Tower in Eisenach, Germany where Martin Luther found refuge in 1521.
