Constructed in 1856, it suffered from a fire in 1911 which burned the interior as well as the lookout tower which had been constructed on its top. The smoke stack of the Standard Lumber Company may be seen in the background. This image was colored by the photographer.     <dcterms:description><![CDATA[Modest in size, this one story home sits on a small corner lot. The home has a stucco exterior and tile roof. Narrow windows have been installed in shallow, recessed, arched openings. Wooden shutters have been added on either side of the openings. Curtains are visible in the windows. A shallow overhang with a tile roof may be seen over the arched, wooden front door which opens onto a small stoop. A brick, double chimney protrudes from the roof, and a detached garage is partially visible behind the home.  A fire hydrant may be seen between a sidewalk and curb running along the side yard of the home. The number 1269b is written on a label that has been stuck to the lower left corner of the slide.]]></dcterms:description>
