<dcterms:description><![CDATA[This postcard is oriented vertically and has an off-white background. On all sides there is a thin tan border. In the upper center of the postcard is a cat wearing a red Santa Claus jacket and hat, each with white fur trim. There is a thin band tied around the cat's waist and its two front paws stick out of the sleeves of the coat. The cat is an orange/brown tabby with large teal eyes which look down towards its right paw. It has a bemused/angry expression on its face and its whiskers are seen on its cheeks and forehead. Its ears stick out from the hat and are turned toward each side and back slightly. It appears to have a slight smile on its face with the right corner of its mouth turning up more than the left. In its right paw it holds a small decorated Christmas tree. In its left paw it holds the neck of a green bag which goes over its shoulder. Behind the cat is a green faded background radiating out from behind it. Below the image of the cat it reads "With best Wishes for a Happy Christmas" where the "W" in "With" is inside a sketched piece of fabric hanging from a small horn. From this fabric extends three pieces of ribbon: one which goes off to the left side of the card, one which is short and nearly reaches the "f" in "for," and a third which is long and tangles itself in the "H" of "Happy" and the "C" in "Christmas." Under this is printed "From" and someone has handwritten "Percy Jo Arthur" onto the dotted line.]]></dcterms:description>

In the bottom left corner, extending nearly to the upper left corner and to the bottom right corner is a border of dark green holly leaves, stems, and red holly berries. On the left side of the card is a red brick chimney covered around all sides of the upper opening with white snow and ice hanging over the sides. A pale red bird with large, boggling eyes is seen to be wearing a red Santa Claus coat and hat, each with black fur trim.. The bird wears a large white beard hanging to its chest and its large eyes look down into the chimney it is climbing into while standing on a snow covered roof. Its large yellow beak hangings slightly open. Over its left shoulder is a pale grey bag full of toys . Its right leg is still behind it and it wears a black boot which is on the roof, and its leg is seen as a dotted black line. In the distance behind the bird Santa are two evergreen trees, with dark green tops and paler green bottoms. Directly above the tops of the trees is a yellow crescent moon, near to which it reads in red script: "Peters Weatherbird," and under this reads in black script: "School Shoes, Solid Leather~Strongly Put Together." Over the chimney, where it connects with the house, is a sideways red diamond with a thin white border, serving as the "Peters Shoes Co's Diamond Brand St. Louis" logo. To the right of this, drawn over the snow covered rooftop it reads in black script, "A Practical Xmas Present." In the bottom right corner, is a drawing of two sleeping pale red birds with large yellow beaks. They each have a white pillow under their head and share a bed and blankets. Their feathered fingertips clutch at a white sheet, pulling it to their chins. A grey and red striped blanket lies over top. The blanket has two sets of three thin red stripes, each near a bird. Small eyelashes and eyebrows are seen on the faces of the sleeping birds. A stamp over the upper right corner reads "Chandlerville, Ill."]]></dcterms:description>

This figure wears a red Santa Claus coat, hat, and pants with large black boots. Each of these items is trimmed with white fur, and he wears white gloves on his hands. The man dressed as Santa Claus has squinting eyes and dark brown hair poking out from under the hat. His nose is bright red and his lips are spread in a wide, closed-mouth smile. Out of his mouth, on his right side protrudes a cigar. In his left hand he holds a Santa Claus mask with a white mustache and beard slightly away from his face. His left arm is extended out along his side and his hand is open, fingertips reaching toward the ground. The red coat is open and his larger middle is seen, covered by a white shirt. Across his middle is a white scarf with pale pink tassels and he walks into it to keep it against his body. Out of each of the coat pockets, a brown bottle of some form of liquor protrudes and loose bills and coins fall out of his pockets toward the ground. His left leg is extended out in front of him as he marches forward. Underneath this figure it reads, "Some Santa Claus, Ol' Right!" where the first letter of each new word is in red and the remaining letters in the words are black. From the front of the sled working toward the back they are wear robes colored red, orange, blue, green, and orange. They each have hoods over their heads and have long, straight white beards and mustaches and look toward the viewer, all without an expression on their faces. The four figures behind the lead have their left arm up on their shoulder for support, while the lead figure has his left hand down on a lever near the bottom of the sled. Packages can be seen to be falling from this sled on the right side of the card on the hill top as they sled past. The figures hold assorted small trees, packages, and toys. On the right side of the postcard on the hilltop are snow covered small evergreen trees, while similar trees can be seen on the left side of the postcard in the foreground, and as a line farther in the distance on a different hill. Near the bottom left corner it reads in green, curled script, "Bonne Annee!"]]></dcterms:description>
