    <dcterms:description><![CDATA[Two men are standing in front of a display of canned goods and coffee packaged in bags, sacks and cans. One man is holding a package of coffee as if he is demonstrating the quality of the product to the other gentleman. A wire rack with six bins is in the lower left of the image. Two bins contain cookies or crackers from the Liten &amp; Sons Snow White Bakery, Clinton, Iowa, three bins contains cookies or crackers from the Crescent Macaroni  &amp; Cracker Company in Davenport, Iowa, and the last bin contains cookies from the National Biscuit Company. Hanging from the ceiling are three signs for “Pearline Concentrated Dry Soap,” “Pearline for Delicate Women, Dainty Fabrics” and “Pearline Best by Test, Practically, Chemically the Modern Soap.” Hanging next to the soap advertisements are two signs for the “Rumford Complete Cookbook” and “Rumford Baking Powder.”  On the wall behind the men are signs for  “Friedman’s High Grade Butterine – the Only Rich Butter Flavor,” ” Old Dutch Cleanser,”  “S&amp;H Green Trading Stamps,” and “Old Dutch Soap.” Behind the clerk are displays of Montague’s Biscuits and Borden’s Evaporated Milk. Behind the customer is a display with a baby, seated on a display of cans, holding a bottle with white liquid in one hand, and a can of canned milk in the other.
