    <dcterms:description><![CDATA[Sacred Heart Church, Holy Spirit Parish, located on the corner of 22nd Street and Windsor Avenue in Dubuque. This is a brick church on the right of the photo. There are two steeples with crosses at the top: the left steeple is shorter than the right. In the middle of the two steeples in a triangle roofed arch with another cross at the point of the roof. The right steeple has a clock in the tower. Both steeples have a zigzag pattern at the base of the spire. The church is facing 22nd street and from the street, there is a sidewalk and a metal fence around the property of the church. To the left of the church is an open flat field with a leafless tree close to the sidewalk. The gates have openings in front of the church and a walkway from the sidewalk up to the three sets of staircases which lead to the three doors to enter the church. Each of the doors is open and each has an arched entryway above the doors. Two doors are below each of the two steeples, and the middle door is under the triangle arched roof.     <dcterms:description><![CDATA[St. Matthew Lutheran Church on the corner of White and 18th Streets. It has striking similarities with St. John&#039;s Lutheran Church, and is called the daughter church of St. John&#039;s. The bell tower of this church stands on the left side of the church, with the front doors at its base. The church has two more sections in the front to the rights of the bell tower. The middle section reaches a point where a cross is seen on the roof. Both of the next two sections feature arched windows. The church extends down the street and back on the left side, with a chimney visible in the background and the back of the roof. There is also a building to the right of church that is barely seen.]]></dcterms:description>

The church bell tower has a steeple and an opening where the bell would be. The area of the bell is open with intricate lattice work. The church is a brick church. The front doors are located in the middle of church, up a set of concrete steps from the sidewalk. The windows are arched and the arches are outlined in a lighter stone. There is a chimney coming from the left side of the roof, but it is somewhat hidden by the roof. The dirt road extends from the bottom middle of the picture and continues up to the right side of the photograph and ends towards the middle. The first building, closest to the right side of the photograph, has trees in front of it. The building has a set of stairs leading up to the second floor where there is a porch. There is also a porch on the third floor, but to get to it, one must be on the third floor. There is an add on to the building on the right side that appears to be enclosed porches on the second, third, and fourth floors. The second building, to the left, is connected to the first building. This building has no entryway visible. The third building is presumably connected to the second building, but there is no visible connection.
