The daughter stands to the right, dressed in a white gown with pink ribbon and holding a red songbook. A calico cat is at her feet. To the right is a wooden bench with another open book on top of it. Above them is a holly and bells arrangement. Behind and to their left is a window, through which gazes Father Christmas. He is dressed in brown, carrying a blonde-haired doll in his right arm, and has a tree on his back. The card reads "A merry Christmas" at the bottom.
