Description
The monochrome card depicts Father Christmas in a dark coat, pushing a sled of assorted gifts - including toys and what appears to be furniture. The background is the yard of a country house, with a well at its center. "Joyeux Noel" is printed near the top with handwriting underneath, and at the bottom, "Cette belle poupée est pour l'enfant bien sage / Qui m'ât-on dit était belle comme une image." Roughly in English this means 'This beautiful doll is for the child who was wise / Who I was told was beautiful as a picture.'
